Day 1
Travel Day
Daily Activity Key:

Today is a long travel day; be as rested as possible before you head for the airport. Know your itinerary—if any of your flights are delayed or canceled, contact the airline authorities ASAP.

Day 2
Welcome to France
Become oriented with the city of Colmar through an orientation meeting with your guide. Get to know the charming streets and their features. Visit Little Venice and take in the famous Christmas markets and light displays.
Day 3
Route du Vin
Travel the Route du Vin stopping inn the magical towns of Obernai, Riquewihr, and Ribeauville. Explore these unique smaller markets nestled in the vineyards at the foot of the Les Vosges mountains. Enjoy wine tasting at family vineyards and local cuisine in the unique medieval village markets.
Day 4
Basel and Bern
Day trip to Switzerland and the markets just across the French border. Take the Swiss displays with beautiful backdrops and lively atmosphere. Indulge in fondue and gingerbread, and while you’re at it visit the gingerbread museum!
Day 5
Black Forest
Travel the Black Forest and visit the towns of Baden-Baden and Freiburg, two of the most beautiful markets and towns in Germany. Visit the candle workshop or watch local artisans blow glass art pieces.
Day 6
Capital of Christmas
Travel to Stasbourg the Capital of Christmas and enjoy the city and its beautiful cathedral with its working astronomical clock, while explorign the city that has been a symbol of protestantism in France for centuries. With numerous markets and various activities throughout the UNNESCO world heritage site, there is no end to the options at your fingertips.
Day 7
Last day in Europe
Today we travel to our departure cities.

Leisurely Day:
Today’s pace is relaxed, with about 1–2 miles of mostly level walking. You’ll have plenty of time to take in the sights, enjoy a café break, and soak up the local atmosphere. You should be comfortable climbing a flight of stairs, boarding a coach/car/taxi, and walking unassisted for up to an hour at an easy pace. Activities could take place at altitudes up to 5,000 feet.

Moderate Day:
Today involves 3–4 miles of walking, likely including cobblestone streets, moderate hills, or stairs. You should be comfortable on your feet for up to two hours at a time, with possible breaks included. Expect to navigate uneven terrain and climb up to two flights of stairs without assistance. Activities may take place at altitudes up to 6,000 feet.

Active Day:
Today includes 4+ miles of walking, with hills, stairs, and uneven terrain throughout. Expect to be on your feet for 2–3 hours at a time, with limited breaks. You should be comfortable climbing up to three flights of stairs and navigating various modes of transportation. Activities could reach altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. This day is best suited for travelers with solid mobility.
